Apex 1000 is licenced, digital two way radio sourced by Apex Radio Systems.
This radio can operate in analogue or digital modes which makes it a great future proof product. The dual mode can also ease the digital migration process.
Apex 1000 features AMBE+2 as its vocoder which provides advanced voice quality. The AMBE+2 was traditionally reserved for satellite systems and has only recently become available for radio applications.
The ingress protection rating (IP) is 65 which determines that this radio is dust proofed and splash proofed.
Apex 1000 also features applications such as group calls, missed calls, messages, and passwords. It is also software upgradable. Apex 1000 also features optional Mandown application.
This is a full power licenced radio and does require an Ofcom licence. Apex always ensures that your radios work perfectly together, with your existing fleet, and in line with Ofcom regulations.
Apex 1000 can cover up to 2.5 miles in open territory and that’s why we would recommend it to larger construction sites, manufacturing, and factories. It is also popular at facilities management and security.
