The Apex 1200 is a licenced, digital, full keypad, two way radio sourced by Apex Radio Systems.
This radio can operate on either analogue or digital frequencies what makes it a great futureproofed product and it will also ease the digital migration process.
A great feature of this radio is its audio. The Apex 1200 transmits the digital voice and adopts AMBE+2 as it vocoder (traditionally reserved for use in satellite systems). It also has noise cancelling technology allowing you to hear more clearly.
Another fantastic feature of this radio is its full keypad and display which allows its users to send preprogramed and actual text messages or send distress signals. Apex 1200 also features optional Mandown application.
The Apex 1200 is a rugged and durable, digital radio. It can withstand harsh environments and is backed by IP65 rating making it tough against dust particles and it is also water resistant (splash proofed).
This is a full power radio and it requires an Ofcom licence. Apex always ensures that your radios work together and with your existing fleet in line with Ofcom regulations free of charge.
The Apex 1200 can have a reach of up to 2.5 miles in open territory and that’s why we would recommend it mainly for larger construction and manufacturing sites. It is also widely popular within facilities management, larger schools and retailers.
